At Papa John’s Netherlands, we are committed to ensuring digital and physical accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe in equal rights, inclusion, and a seamless experience for all users, whether visiting one of our stores or browsing our website. 

Digital Accessibility – Website & App 

We strive to make our website and mobile application accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as required under the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the Dutch Tijdelijk besluit digitale toegankelijkheid overheid. While this regulation is mandatory for public institutions, we voluntarily align it as part of our commitment to inclusive service. 

Our website and mobile app offer the following accessibility features: 

  • Compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers (e.g., NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack). 
  • Full keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Esc) without requiring a mouse. 
  • Semantic structure of content (clear headings, link descriptions, alt text for images). 
  • Logical and consistent focus order for easier navigation. 
  • Visual indicators for focused elements. 
  • Text resizing via browser (Ctrl + and Ctrl -). 
  • Compatibility across major operating systems and browsers (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android). 
  • Forms with clear labels and error messages. 

Our mobile app (available for iOS and Android) has been developed following accessibility best practices as recommended by W3C’s Mobile Accessibility Guidelines.

Physical Accessibility – Papa John’s Stores 

Papa John’s Netherlands strives to ensure that our physical locations are as accessible as possible, in line with the Dutch Building Decree 2012 (Bouwbesluit 2012) and equal access legislation. 

Key accessibility arrangements may include (varies by location): 

  • Accessible Entrance: Step-free or ramped access to the restaurant. 
  • Accessible Toilet: Where available, located on the premises and compliant with Dutch standards. 
  • Accessible Parking: Designated parking spaces for disabled visitors within 100 meters of the store entrance. 
  • Service at Table: If checkout counters are not at an accessible height, our staff will gladly assist customers at their table. 

Each store may differ in the availability of the above features. A table summarizing store-specific accessibility details is available upon request or via our customer service.
